DESCRIPTION

Our matt blue 210D TPU coated nylon is a tough, lightweight technical fabric that can be heat sealed to be completely airtight and waterproof, with no glue or stitching needed. It is the same type of fabric used in the tubes of our Paddle Ready packrafts, and it is popular for inflatables, dry bags, panniers, and university engineering and research projects.

How to order

Choose the length you need in metres. Every piece is the full 148cm usable width. For separate pieces, for example two 2m sections, select 2m with a quantity of 2.

Common questions

What is heat sealing?
All our fabrics have a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) coating. When heated with an iron or hot air, the coating melts and bonds to itself, joining the fabric without glue.

Which iron should I use?
We have used both the Jamara Pro Star iron and the Prolux Digital Iron. For small seams and tight areas, try this smaller electric iron. Whichever you use, it needs to reach and hold around 220°C.

The TPU surface may show streaking from manufacturing. This does not affect performance. Colours on screen may differ slightly.
